We're hiring a Candle Associate | Part - Time, Seasonal

Join our Cedar Creek Candles team as a Candle Associate and help others discover the craft of candle making. Our Candle Associates are our front of house team members who are responsible for assisting customers in purchases, hosting candle workshops, and assisting customers in crafting a candle at our Candle Bar. Cedar Creek Candles is a great place to let your creativity shine while providing good service.

  • Part Time : 20 - 25 hours a week (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, occasional Sunday)

  • 30% Team Member Discount

  • ​10% Commission on all candle vessels during Workshops or Candle Bar.

  • Base Hourly Rate : $12.00 - $14.00​
     

candle associate responsibilities 

  • Interact with customers : assisting customers with purchases, and general questions about products; processing sales and handling payment. â€‹

  • Host Candle Workshops : setting the workshop table with trays, candle crafting materials, and workshop form; organizing and cleaning workshop fragrance bottles; setting up any decorations or drinks for private events. Stocking new candle vessels by adding required wicks and price tag. Assist customers in creating a custom fragrance, instructing customers the steps of candle crafting, and processing candles once they're dried. (Processing candles include trimming the wick, using a heat gun to smooth the tops, and cleaning up excessive wax before bagging them up for customer pick-up).

  • Restock & front face candles and other products when needed.​​

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Reliable and dependable transportation

  • Good communication and organization skills.

  • Creativity and a passion for crafting.

  • Basic math skills, ability to make change and operate a cash register. 

  • Commitment to customer service - every customer is a like our family when in the store!

  • Preform light cleaning task - sweeping workshop studios, cleaning workshop tables, and cleaning workshop bottles.
